 Where did the idea for Mythologika - Legends of the Rising Sun come from?

From the history of spirits, creatures and gods themselves: the Kami, the gods of the Shinto pantheon, the benevolent Yurei or the terrible Oni, through emperors and honourable samurai, to the most famous legends such as The Rabbit on the Moon or The Red Thread.

A journey to discover the oriental concept of good and evil, where one is not obsessively opposed to the other, the "enemy", but coexists, complements. Complementing each other.

That is why the stories and creatures you will read about will be terrible and positive, monstrous and yet peaceful, beautiful and deadly. They are all different expressions of the same whole, united and constantly changing.

Fans of manga, anime and Hayao Miyazaki's animated films will find many familiar names and creatures in this volume. Encountered, named and even seen between a few comic pages or on a television screen.
